A section where people can upload pictures of their maps and ask for city planning advice, and other people could give their feedback etc.
It could also be used to other things, like making one big city, made by the whole community.

The inaccuracy needs to be fixed or remove it altogether and use the Google search as an alternative.

Ranking by points? Exchange points with other members for some service? Having points just sit there is kind of pointless, but does create a base for something that does have some potential.

This would be a very useful addition to Simtropolis. When searching on the STEX for files to download, a small indication like "You have downloaded this file before" would save many hours of downloading files that we may have already got. The current "My Downloads" tab does work fine, but it is a long process to navigate through the pages to check. I'm not sure if this is possible to do, but it would be good if it was considered for Simtropolis V7.

A quality seal, that goes to every upload, that have got over 4 stars. You should be able to search for STEX Quality Seal uploads only in the search.

This bug has been with us in the forums for so long now i'ts a real pain.

A more statistically robust rating system can reduce the impact of down-rating and up-rating, making the STEX ratings more meaningful for those browsing the STEX as well as those uploading to it.

The STEX could use a winsorized or trimmed mean, instead of an arithmetic mean. These are less affected by outliers (down/up rating) than straight averaging.

If existing votes are not kept track of individually, they could be included with the adjusted system as a weighted mean.

Randomly selecting an upload isn't the best approach, as mediocre, rule-breaking, or locked files have potential to be shown, leading to some "This is on the spotlight?! WTH?!?!" comments.

A new category search with the ability to find buildings with specified characteristics (ex. hospital, school, high density residential) would greatly improve access to all STEX files.

This would simplify the nomination process and add exposure to the awards. I sometimes think it slips under the radar for the majority of members.

It doesn't have to be full scale mobile layout, just so things work on a mobile device. Things that specifically don't work are the chat and the full editor in the forums, meaning you can't edit posts from a mobile device. I doubt anything can be done to make chat work, but support for the rich text editor would be nice so people could post when they're away from my computer, like on a road trip.

when you have a thread and a troll make a lot comments than you don't must report it to an mod. you can delete these comments yourself

The STEX is a massive, busy, and often unruly place. New and improved moderator tools would help the STEX moderators do their job, creating a more pleasant and respectful sharing environment.

Get the old user rating feature off of them and maybe have more personalization features.

Allow users know how many times they have downloaded files from Simtropolis.com, whether they have downloaded them at all (just to know if they need to download the files anyway). Just like they have it in sc4devotion.com. It's really useful!
